Job Summary
Lead Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies, developing process designs including PFDs, P&IDs, and heat and mass balances. Prepare design basis, equipment specification sheets, and piping isometric drawings while evaluating vendor proposals and managing control strategies. Conduct design reviews, HAZOP studies, and root cause failure analyses to ensure quality and safety compliance. Support plant commissioning, performance testing, and constructability reviews, coordinating with multi-discipline teams for documentation and operational readiness. Define project scope, develop cost estimates, and interface with customers or EPC contractors. Assist in proposal writing and lessons learned reports to optimize total installed costs and mitigate technical risks.
Required Qualifications
- BE in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the gas and process industry
- Advanced level in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD)
- Substantial experience with cryogenic pumps, heat exchangers, turbomachinery, air separation process systems, gas process plants, liquefaction plants, tank farms, and bulk distribution facilities
- The applicant must communicate effectively and seek out technical expertise as required
- Possess strong analytical and organizational skills
- Able to influence and interact effectively with cross-functional team members
- Able to juggle several concurrent projects
Desired Qualifications
- Cryogenic experience is highly desired
