Job Summary
Process Engineer responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and driving continuous improvement of manufacturing processes at Westlake's Samarate site; manage CAPEX projects from budgeting to commissioning; collaborate with HSE on supplier management, documentation, and safety compliance; validate equipment, processes, and troubleshooting of production/quality issues; monitor KPIs, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions; contribute to maintaining and improving the Quality Management System and define technical, quality, and production specifications for new investments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience ideally in PVC compounding or the chemical industry
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, maintenance, and control systems
- Familiarity with PLCs and basic programming logic
- knowledge of ISO 13485 is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, shop-floor oriented mindset
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) and ability to collaborate across functions and levels
- Experience working with ERP/MES systems (preferably SAP)
