Job Summary
Lead and optimize optical active alignment processes for transceiver production while operating, setting up, and maintaining alignment equipment. Develop, implement, and optimize alignment algorithms, and perform equipment buyoff and qualification activities. Oversee epoxy dispensing and curing processes, design fixtures to improve alignment, and troubleshoot issues with equipment control and fixtures. Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to ensure high yield and quality, contributing to process documentation and continuous improvement. Requires five years of experience in optical active alignment for transceivers and familiarity with active alignment processes, equipment buyoff, and epoxy dispensing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience with optical active alignment for transceivers or related photonic devices
- Familiarity with active alignment processes and equipment for optics such as FAU, lens, isolator, PIC chip, etc
- Experience with AA equipment buyoff and qualification
- Familiar with the key technologies such as stages, controllers, power meters, MPO connectors, laser sources, algorithms, as well as mechanical parts
- Knowledge of epoxy dispensing and curing methods
- Experience with equipment control
- Experience in fixture design for alignment
- Proficiency in developing or optimizing alignment algorithms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, physics, optics, or related field preferred
