Job Summary
Process Engineer – Logistics & Warehouse Operations focused on engineering analysis, process design, and continuous improvement across forklift systems, warehouse layout, material flow, and inventory storage standards. Partners with Logistics leadership to deliver data-driven analysis, improve throughput, reduce downtime and cost, optimize labor efficiency, and standardize processes. Responsibilities include forklift and equipment optimization, KPI development for utilization and maintenance costs, preventive maintenance coordination, safety initiatives and operator-certification tracking, warehouse-layout optimization, capacity planning and space modeling, standard work design for warehouse and forklift operations, route/path optimization to reduce congestion, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, IT, and vendors. Requires Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 3–7 years in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus strong analytical skills and experience with material handling systems and safety standards. Success metrics include improved forklift utilization, reduced downtime, safety improvements, standardized warehouse planning, and scalable performance as automation and facility complexity increase.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree with 2+ years of industry experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 3–7 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field supporting warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing process improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills (Excel, data modeling)
- Experience with material handling systems, layout optimization, and safety standards
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, and Finance
