Job Summary
Process Engineer at KBR STS responsible for a wide range of process engineering activities, supporting the lead process engineer to meet project schedule and quality requirements. Develops Process Design Basis and Design Philosophies based on scope, reviews and guides process simulations to develop Heat & Mass Balance, and creates PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, and Safe charts. Performs routine process calculations, designs involving steam, piping, and utility systems, and participates in safety studies (HAZOP/HAZID/SIL). Coordinates with peers and sub-ordinates from other engineering departments, reviews vendor offers, conducts technical bid analysis, and prepares for pre-commissioning/ commissioning activities. Willingness to travel for work and support across FEED/detail engineering stages. KBR emphasizes ESG and values, safety, sustainability, and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
- 10 to 15 years of experience
- Good knowledge in process engineering softwares (HYSYS, Flarenet)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, refinery, Offshore and Utilities & Offsites related to industry
- Willingness to travel for work within KBR offices
- Experience in FEED/Detail Engineering stages
