Process Engineer

Monitor and optimize production and processing operations to maximize efficiency, reliability, and safety. Perform process simulations, heat and material balances, and equipment performance evaluations. Develop and maintain process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, and engineering calculations. Troubleshoot process upsets and identify root causes of operational issues. Support facility startups, shutdowns, debottlenecking, and commissioning activities. Conduct process safety reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on capital projects and process improvement initiatives. Prepare technical reports, operating procedures, and engineering documentation. Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions to improve plant performance and reduce operating costs. This one-year contract with potential for permanent placement supports the Grassroots Project in Houston, TX.
