Process Engineer

Job Summary
Support manufacturing operations through process analysis, troubleshooting, and improvement activities to reduce waste, improve flow, and lower cost. Apply Lean tools such as 5S, kaizen, value stream mapping, and standard work to identify and implement process improvements. Collect and analyze data to identify trends, assist with process documentation, and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This full-time contract role requires on-site presence at the client's Wilmington, NC facility for an anticipated 1-2 year assignment.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical, Industrial or Ceramic Engineering or other related engineering discipline
- 2+ years' experience in Manufacturing Environment or related technical experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, production processes, and standard engineering principles
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
- Experience with 5S, kaizen, value stream mapping, standard work, flow improvement, line balancing, or work cell design
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
- Agreeable to being employed by ITAC but working full-time on assignment with one of our clients
- Agreeable to the position being full time contract work anticipated to last for the next 1-2 years
- Agreeable to being on the client's Wilmington, NC site
Desired Qualifications
- Data Analytics
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting
- Project management experience
