Job Summary
Identify and develop process improvements by working directly on the manufacturing floor to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Implement and document these improvements while developing production methods and controls that meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner. Provide hands-on technical support for day-to-day operations, troubleshooting equipment and resolving procedural issues. Assist R&D in the development and scale-up of new products and indirectly manage a team to foster a collaborative environment. Lead technical and operational projects, maintaining detailed records and communicating work instructions to support work responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing
- 3-5 years of documented Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Willing to travel (10%)
Desired Qualifications
- Extrusion coating experience is an asset
- Web handling experience preferred
- Six Sigma experience as Green or Black Belt is an asset
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
