Job Summary

Develop and maintain predictive maintenance systems, equipment FMEA's, and total preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimum equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Audit inspection programs, coordinate shutdowns, and manage spare parts procurement to support machine uptime while reducing inventory costs. Lead team analysis for major breakdowns using the Pilkington 8-step problem-solving model and assist design engineers with capex plans and new equipment commissioning. Work full-time on the Shelbyville, IN production floor across all shifts, including weekend and holiday coverage, with day shift hours starting Monday through Friday. Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, minimum three years managing people in manufacturing, and Six Sigma Black Belt training.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technically related field
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to interact with a wide variety of people
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines
  • Minimum 3 years experience successfully managing people in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong in results oriented, adaptable, standards driven, developing, influential and informative competencies
  • Must be available for regular presence on the production floor across all shifts, including periodic off-shift, weekend, and holiday coverage
  • Must be able to work in manufacturing conditions including heat, noise, glass handling, forklift and overhead crane traffic
  • Must be able to use personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, steel-toed footwear)
  • Must have the physical ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
  • Must be able to climb stairs/platforms
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
