Job Summary
Monitor and improve plant efficiency and output, ensuring manufacturing processes operate at optimal levels to maximize surface treaters. Develop and implement Preventative Maintenance programs while providing technical advice on operations and improvements. Create engineering analyses for projects, including design, cost, and equipment selection, and lead Corrective and Preventive Action documentation with Root Cause Analysis. Conduct HAZOP studies to assess risks for plant staff and community safety, applying mass, momentum, and heat transfer principles to process design. Maintain quality control standards and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. On-call for quality-related production issues.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- 5-7 years engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing facility
- Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility
- Knowledge of process simulation software
- HAZOP Facilitation and PSM knowledge
- On-call for Quality related production issues
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering Project Management experience preferred
- Knowledge of distributive process control systems
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt
- Registered as a Professional Engineer
