Job Summary
Develop process instructions in the ERP system for incoming jobs and work hands-on with production staff to ensure proper furnace set-up for customer parts. Design fixturing and masking, read blueprints and schematics, and write standard operating procedures following established documentation processes. Collaborate with R&D to develop new processes and support the quality department in maintaining NADCAP accreditation. Review nonconformances with engineering staff to drive continuous improvement and troubleshoot vacuum furnace equipment functionality. Assess project feasibility with applications engineering and complete additional assignments as prescribed by your supervisor while adhering to AS9100/ISO 9001 and OSHA safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen/Green Card holder
- Bachelor's degree in metallurgical/materials engineering or mechanical engineering
- 3-5 years of engineering experience in a production environment
- Experience in surface coatings or metallurgical engineering
- Working knowledge of surface coating processes (i.e. CAPVD, MSPVD, heat treatment, nitriding, thermal diffusion, carburizing, etc.)
- Solidworks or equivalent 3-D modeling software experience
- Working knowledge of vacuum furnace equipment and controls
- Leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Background check results
- Drug test results
