Job Summary
Process Engineer I role to support and optimize manufacturing operations for flexible packaging products, focusing on improving production efficiency, reducing waste, troubleshooting issues across printing, laminating, coating, extrusion, slitting, and pouch-making operations, leading continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in flexible packaging or converting manufacturing
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of food-grade packaging standards and regulatory requirements
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or statistical process control (SPC)
- Experience with ERP/MES systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
