Job Summary
Design manufacturing facility equipment and support critical utility systems while developing construction drawing packages and specifications. Execute intermediate tasks including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and punch list development with oversight from Lead or Senior Engineers. Author Basis of Design Reports, perform material balances and heat transfer calculations, and provide mentorship to Entry-Level staff on translating engineering designs into Revit models. Coordinate with vendors, attend industry events, and manage project schedules to deliver defined scopes.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in a discipline-specific field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operating company or design firm environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic familiarity with applicable industry and regulatory guidance, as well as local building codes
Desired Qualifications
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam registration or completion
- Proficiency in 2D/3D design platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Strong ability to perform or develop engineering calculations related to fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and material and energy balances
- Basic experience conducting field surveys of existing conditions and documenting and resolving field issues
- Experience coordinating across internal and external cross-disciplinary project teams
- Experience coordinating with construction trade partners, vendors, and manufacturers
