Job Summary
Process Engineer responsible for monitoring daily and weekly production performance, analyzing data to identify losses in productivity, efficiency, and quality, and leading Lean/manufacturing excellence initiatives. Drives RCA sessions, implements corrective/preventive actions, leads or contributes to process improvement and capital projects, supports technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing, and ensures compliance with HACCP/GMP. Develops dashboards and KPIs, coordinates cross-functional teams, supports process validation and scale-up, and participates in MOC/Change Management while coaching production teams and sharing best practices across the site and global network.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, microbiology, food science, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in food, biotech, or fermentation-based processes
- Experience with microbial fermentation and biological processes preferred
- Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and process improvement
- Strong understanding of unit operations (e.g., fermentation, mixing, separation, drying, blending)
- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel required; Minitab, Power BI, or similar preferred)
- Familiarity with process control systems (PLC/DCS/SCADA) is an asset
- Knowledge of food safety and quality systems (GMP, HACCP)
- Experience with CIP/SIP systems is a plus
