Job Summary
Process Engineer for flare systems responsible for the final design of Zeeco's custom-built flare equipment. Evaluates, calculates, and designs flare systems with expertise in fluid hydraulics, static and non-static mechanical systems, open-air gaseous flow modeling, acoustic/thermal radiation emissions, heat transfer, thermo-mechanical suitability, and combustion dynamics. Reviews project equipment drawings to meet standards, performs industrial-scale combustion testing at the company's combustion test facility, and provides engineering support to the Project Execution group, including reviewing Turn Over Packages and detailed customer specifications. Performs calculations (hydraulic, thermal, auditory, combustion, dispersion, two-phase flow), checks drawings for design standards, sets design limits, conducts final design reviews before shop release, tests flare equipment in the Test Facility, and resolves field issues as they arise.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) and/or five (5) years related experience
- MS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) is preferred
