Job Summary
Develop process design basis and execute engineering activities for customer projects, preparing and reviewing Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, and engineering calculations. Perform heat and material balance, hydraulic, line sizing, pressure drop, and utility consumption calculations while supporting equipment sizing for vessels, separators, heat exchangers, and pumps. Participate in process safety activities including HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL reviews, ensuring deliverables comply with international codes. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review vendor documents, and support commissioning and troubleshooting. Requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with 7 to 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas or EPC projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas, Heavy Engineering, Process Equipment Manufacturing, EPC, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Energy industry
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles and industrial process equipment
- Experience in one or more of the following industries: Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemical, LNG, Heavy Engineering, Process Equipment Manufacturing, EPC Projects, Combustion Equipment, Thermal Oxidizers, Vapor Recovery Units (VRUs), Fired Heaters, Flaring Systems
- Experience in Flare system design
- Experience in Flare line sizing
- Experience in Flare header hydraulic analysis
- Experience in Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) sizing and relief system design
- Experience in Flare load and backpressure calculations
- Experience in Participation in HAZOP studies for refinery, petrochemical, LNG, and Oil & Gas projects
- Experience in flare network analysis and combustion systems

- Experience with Aspen HYSYS
- Experience with Aspen Plus
- Experience with Aspen Flare System Analyzer (FSA)
- Experience with Flarenet
- Experience with PIPE-FLO
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
- Working knowledge of API Standards
- Working knowledge of ASME Codes
- Working knowledge of ANSI Standards
- Working knowledge of ISO Standards
- Working knowledge of NFPA Standards
- Working knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management requirements
