Process Engineer – Etch

Job Summary
Process sustenance and development for high volume semiconductor manufacturing, including variability reduction, recipe development, defectivity reduction, and optimization. Collaborate with GlobalFoundries internal customers to develop and mature unit processes for FinFET, Si Photonics, and other technologies. Sustain production line with daily SPC monitoring, Cpk improvement, and troubleshooting for process and tool issues. Apply statistical tools, DOE, data-driven decision making, and systematic problem-solving to improve process robustness, drive throughput, reduce costs, and enhance yield learning. Employ lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies; train shift technicians for 24x7 HVM operations; coordinate with equipment suppliers, equipment engineers, and QA teams to ensure quality and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent plus 1 year of post-baccalaureate experience
- 1 year of experience in SPACE SPC tools to monitor and control quality of manufacturing processes
- 1 year of experience in FMEA line yield improvements
- 1 year of experience in Creating and improving Corrective Action Specifications
- 1 year of experience with Semiconductor equipment
- 1 year of experience in Design of Experiments (DOE)
- 1 year of experience in Tool matching and performance improvements
