Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to independently execute process engineering scope on EPCM projects with minimal supervision, owning deliverables from heat/mass balances through PFDs and P&IDs, and leading technical interfaces with multidisciplinary teams and clients across Canada, Australia, the USA, and beyond. The role requires hands-on process simulations using Aspen HYSYS or Honeywell UniSim, PSV sizing, equipment and line sizing, and active participation in P&ID reviews and HAZOPs. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong fundamentals in oil & gas process engineering, familiarity with EPCM practices, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to deliver high-quality, safe, and operable designs in fast-paced workshare environments. Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering; Experience: 10-15 years in oil & gas; Location: Pune, India (onsite). Client-facing responsibilities, coordination with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines, and ability to interface with project managers and clients are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
- 10-15 years of experience as a Process Engineer in the oil & gas industry
- Prior experience working in an EPCM environment
- Hands-on experience with process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS and/or Honeywell UniSim)
- Ability to develop and review Heat & Material Balances, PFDs, and P&IDs
- Experience with equipment sizing, line sizing, and PSV calculations
- Practical understanding of process safety and participation in P&ID reviews and HAZOPs
- Familiarity with applicable codes and EPCM engineering practices
- Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams
- Effective time management and ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
- Experience in workshare or global delivery models
- Experience supporting projects through FEED, detailed engineering, and execution stages
