Job Summary
Design scalable, repeatable manufacturing processes for electro mechanical enclosures, panel wiring, potting, and conformal coating. Lead the transition of products from the prototyping phase to full-scale mass production while reviewing BOMs and engineering drawings to prevent assembly bottlenecks. Specify, design, and procure custom assembly jigs and test fixtures to optimize ergonomics and manufacturing Takt time. Utilize problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Ishikawa, and Six sigma to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly defects, tracking First Pass Yield and implementing error-proofing measures. Ensure all builds meet strict industry standards including IPC-A-610, ESD, and ISO 9001/IATF 16949 requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in wire harness routing, soldering, potting, and testing
- Ability to evaluate CAD models and physical layouts so devices can be easily and cost-effectively assembled at mass scale
- Knowledge of End-of-Line (EOL) testers, Robotic Soldering and failure root-cause analysis (e.g., 5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D)
- Proficiency in defining Takt times, calculating cycle times, and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD tools (like AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and SAP
- Ensure all builds meet strict industry standards such as IPC-A-610, ESD, and ISO 9001/IATF 16949 requirements
