Job Summary
Audit deployment data with SQL to ensure integrity across systems and build internal dashboards using Python or JavaScript to automate workflows and provide real-time visibility into operational metrics. Design and implement scalable internal processes for the deployment pipeline, focusing on data collection, quality assurance, and workflow efficiency. Perform data analytics to identify bottlenecks, measure process effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with engineering and operations teams to translate needs into technical requirements. Develop and maintain documentation for internal tools, data models, and new operational processes. This role sits at the intersection of hardware, software, data, and field operations within Base's Deployment Engineering Team, which is responsible for safely and efficiently deploying battery systems into customers' homes at scale.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in a role focused on data analysis, process engineering, or internal tools development
- Comfortable with SQL or similar database query languages
- A strong data-driven mindset
- Demonstrated experience in building and developing processes that are scalable, repeatable, and documented
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
- Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Metabase)
