Job Summary
Lead and execute manufacturing engineering projects covering safety, capital equipment, capacity, tooling, productivity, and quality while partnering with cross-functional teams. Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new product launches and production improvements by reviewing designs, drawings, and bills of materials to ensure design for manufacturability. Conduct capacity planning and Run-at-Rate studies, create Process Flow Diagrams and PFMEA documentation, and maintain production floor layouts. Develop new manufacturing equipment, tooling, and test equipment with associated documentation and work instructions. Present business cases for capital expenditures and coordinate resources to ensure project deliverables are completed on time. Requires 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Full-time role in Central Iowa with competitive salary and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
- Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles
- Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles and industry standards
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and engineering-related software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
