Job Summary
Process Engineer responsible for process engineering support for glass product manufacturing across glass furnace processing, precision finishing, surface coating, and cleaning. Accountable for technology transfer, process qualification, process control, CM process management, and continuous improvement across internal operations and outsourced steps. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining SOPs/process specifications, training operators, monitoring process performance with SPC and data analysis, leading root cause analysis and CAPA, collaborating with cross-functional teams and CM engineers, managing outsourced process steps, driving yield improvement, supporting technology transfer and process setup, qualification, product qualification, and post-launch improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related fields
- 5+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in glass furnace processing is strongly preferred; experience in precision finishing, surface coating, and cleaning is a plus
- Experience in process control, qualification, yield improvement, and problem solving
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and cross-functional teams is preferred
- Experience with technology transfer is preferred
- Good English communication skills
- Strong process control and troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment
- Solid knowledge of SPC, data analysis, and statistical problem-solving methods
- Experience in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
- Knowledge of process qualification and validation methodologies
- Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution in a dynamic manufacturing environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
