Job Summary

Process Engineer, Closure & Bonding for the coating and bonding line designs, implements, and optimizes manufacturing processes for automotive coating/bonding. Focuses on improving efficiency, quality, and safety on the production line. Responsibilities include process design and optimization to improve efficiency and reduce costs, designing, running, testing, and upgrading systems, conducting simulations and risk assessments, establishing and maintaining quality standards, monitoring performance, implementing best practices, providing technical support and training to staff, troubleshooting issues, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, documenting processes, and presenting performance reports to senior management. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, 4+ years in automotive coating/bonding process engineering, 2+ years in Fanuc closure cell automation, knowledge of PTED and/or bonding, strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and MS Office proficiency. Will relocate to Warsaw, Indiana with relocation assistance; travel up to 10% and ability to lift up to 0 pounds (physical requirements).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Process Engineering for Coating or Bonding, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience in Fanuc closure cell automation
  • Prefer some experience in PTED and/or Bonding (Metal to Plastic)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
