Job Summary
Analyze plant processes and production systems to identify opportunities for improved flow, efficiency, and reliability. Plan, coordinate, and support process-flow improvement projects while troubleshooting equipment shutdowns and recommending operational changes. Work closely with Production Supervisors, Maintenance Planning, and Automation Engineering to resolve process concerns, develop routine analysis programs, and train plant personnel. Track project costs, coordinate maintenance work-orders, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health policies. Participate in daily inspections and support plant operations during routine and emergency needs. This role offers broad exposure to cement manufacturing operations with hands-on experience in a dusty, noisy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and plant operations
- Ability to analyze process and equipment problems and develop practical, long-term solutions
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Production, Maintenance, and Engineering
- Self-motivated, inquisitive, and comfortable working in a hands-on plant environment
- Solid computer skills
- Working knowledge of environmental, safety, and health requirements
- Ability to work in a cement manufacturing environment that may be dusty, noisy, and physically demanding
- Ability to travel occasionally, including some extended periods supporting other plant locations
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without restrictions
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of operations experience in cement manufacturing preferred, but not required
