Process Engineer, Cell Manufacturing

Job Summary
Execute and oversee cell manufacturing processes, including setup, operation, and monitoring of equipment in electrode, assembly, and formation. Troubleshoot complex process and equipment issues affecting yield, throughput, or safety by diagnosing failures using data trends and historical knowledge. Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, maintain accurate production records, and support quality investigations and audits. Collaborate with the manufacturing team on process changes, trials, and scale-up activities while mentoring junior technicians and promoting a safety-focused culture. Champion safety practices related to high-energy systems and chemical handling, identifying hazards and supporting mitigation efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Direct experience in battery manufacturing, battery formation, or electrochemical processes
- Experience in energy storage, EV, automotive, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting new line launches, pilot lines, or manufacturing scale-ups
- Familiarity with MES or digital production tracking systems
