Process Engineer

Job Summary
Process Engineer to join Blueland’s Innovation team as the bridge between the Formulation team and contract manufacturing partners. You will work with formulators from development through commercial production to understand ingredients, specifications, and performance claims, then translate that knowledge into scalable manufacturing solutions. Responsibilities include identifying formulation levers to improve manufacturability without sacrificing quality or claims, understanding contract-manufacturer equipment capabilities and limitations, evaluating excipients and processing aids to improve efficiency and robustness, translating formulation requirements into practical guidance for powders and liquids, and supporting troubleshooting during scale-up, validation, and production. The role requires collaboration across Formulation, Quality, Operations, Procurement, and Contract Manufacturing, and a hands-on background in powder and liquid formulations, preferably in household cleaning, personal care, or related consumer products. The ideal candidate will balance manufacturability with product claims, specifications, quality, and cost, and travel 60-80% to contract manufacturing sites. Location is remote, with a preference for candidates in the Midwest or Mountain regions.
