Job Summary
Monitor and improve plant efficiency by optimizing surface treaters to meet supply requirements while ensuring manufacturing processes operate at optimal levels. Provide technical expertise to modify or add new processes that enhance quality and efficiency, and lead corrective and preventative action documentation including root cause analysis. Carry out process improvement work by planning in-mill production trials, coordinating efforts to determine areas requiring optimization, and preparing risk assessments such as HAZOPs and MOCs. Provide technical advice on plant operations for troubleshooting and improvements, and collaborate on engineering analysis for project design and equipment selection. On-call for process-related production issues and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing facility
- On-call for process related production issues and troubleshooting
- Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with continuous and batch processes; Paper, Tissue, Non-Woven, Coating, Engineered Wood/Panels, Printing, or Chemical processes a plus
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt
