Job Summary
Ensure site safety is the top priority by stopping work during unsafe conditions and enforcing SHE regulations, including audit programs and Management of Change processes. Maintain updated procedures and work instructions while achieving plant quality objectives through corrective actions for non-conforming products. Develop continuous improvement plans focused on production processes, cycle time, and yields, providing technical support for raw material approvals and capital projects. Make prompt decisions to resolve technical issues and support operations in identifying resource needs for effective capacity planning.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree, preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position within the chemical industry
- Fluent English
- Experience in defining and achieving objectives, including under tight deadlines
- Problem-solving skills using structured methodologies (Six Sigma, etc.)
- Good understanding of Process Safety Management
- Experience with databases and SAP
- Manufacturing cost management
- Ability to prioritize and allocate human, financial, and technical resources according to business strategy
- Ability to select and arbitrate technical choices regarding equipment, plant layout, and methods
- Design modifications to existing processes and installation of new equipment
- Lead and manage industrial development projects
- Define and select equipment, production rates, and material flows
- Evaluate return on investment for implemented projects
- Assess the impact of introducing new product lines on processes and work organization
- Interpret data and key indicators using statistical and digital tools
- Optimize and industrialize manufacturing processes
- Standardize testing technologies in development and production
- Work effectively in teams and networks
