Job Summary
Optimize industrial processes by creating integrated manufacturing dossiers, producing detailed optimized processes with STV calculations, and determining process efficiency through Value Added Time assessments. Develop line balancing strategies, analyze manufacturing systems during major modifications, and minimize travelling work by documenting and resolving outstanding tasks. Implement continuous improvement proposals to enhance work station efficiency and identify reduction opportunities for non-value-added production activities. Collaborate with program customers, front-line managers, and ME specialists to deliver optimized solutions while ensuring safety, cost, and quality criteria are met. Assist in training new team members and respond to technical queries across various departments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar engineering discipline
- 3+ years of related experience
- 3+ years of experience in aviation and/or manufacturing
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office/Google suite products
- Working knowledge and application of Business management systems (BMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Preferred General knowledge of FAA, EASA and ICAO
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods, and tools used in process engineering
- Knowledge of basic project management concepts
- Knowledge of Planning Tools (ie.AVL2, EPIQA)
- Good teamworking and relationship building skills
- Good interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
- Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
- Experience in manufacturing or assembly technology implementation
- Excellent command of English (spoken & written)
- Ability to work in an international team
- Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering tool sets (SAP, MES Etc)
- Knowledge of SAP transactions
- Analytical thinker, highly detailed and task-oriented
- Ability to effectively deal with problems requiring solutions in a timely manner
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to participate as a member of an effective team
- Onsite - Aligned with the Airbus Hybrid working policy
- Daily able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings
- Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications
- Daily able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts
- Occasionally able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
- Occasionally able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
- Occasionally able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools
- Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer
- Occasionally able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving
- Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor
- 5% able to travel independently and at short notice
- Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces
- Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
- Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the production floor
- Authorised to work in the US
