Job Summary

Provide technical and methodological assistance to production and operations areas to increase plant availability, reduce costs, and improve quality. Identify and recommend concepts for capacity expansions, quality improvements, and process safety within small to medium investment projects. Coordinate technical support across conceptual, basic, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and startup phases, generating and approving designs and specifications. Generate and deliver training content for future offerings while supporting projects with universities and research institutes. Facilitate information exchange between Evonik plants and business lines to promote best practices, collaborate globally on process engineering proposals, and support, train, and develop other engineers and designers.

Required Qualifications

  • BS degree or MS degree in Chemical Engineering between December 2026 and August 2027
  • Begin employment with Evonik Corporation between January 2027 and August 2027
  • Be agreeable to relocation for support of projects and for other career opportunities
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, process design, standard industry practices, and regulatory issues as well as cost, schedule, and operations management
  • Human relation skills with emphasis on verbal and written communication, decision making, and leadership
  • Ability to work, collaborate, and excel in a project team environment with high adaptiveness to variable situations
