Job Summary
Monitor process data and respond to maintain quality, yield, and productivity in a high-volume silicon wafer manufacturing facility. Optimize production costs, conduct engineering tests, and use statistical methods to generate data-driven process improvement actions. Lead root cause analysis, troubleshoot equipment failures, and apply lean manufacturing principles to resolve issues. Identify safety risks, maintain detailed documentation for audits, and collaborate with operators and leadership to meet department goals. This role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 3+ years of hands-on experience with statistical data analysis. The position is 100% on-site in Vancouver, Washington, with occasional night/weekend work and international travel to Japan.
Required Qualifications
- legally authorized for employment in the United States and do not require sponsorship for work authorization
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Material or similar engineering discipline)
- Minimum 3 years 'hands-on' experience in an engineering role utilizing statistical data analysis tool and techniques
- Knowledge of SPC is essential
- Thrives working in a fast-pace and data driven environment where multi-tasking is essential
- Well-versed in Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel
- Capable of learning new programs as well as proprietary company systems
- Skilled at gathering, analyzing, and interpreting process data to make sound decisions
- Proficient at creating clear and concise presentations, reports, and process documentation
- Able to maintain a professional presence with all levels of the organization
- Strong verbal skills needed to convey technical information to all levels within the company
- Must also be confident giving presentations to executive management
- Respects the viewpoints of others
- Able to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and diplomacy
- Able to travel abroad for process investigations at other facilities (approximately 1 week/year)
- Must be able to get a passport and travel to Japan
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and execute complex instructions and safety procedures
- Must be able to wear all required PPE for the assigned areas
- Must be able to work in a clean room environment wearing clean room suit, hood, booties, safety glasses and gloves
- May require the use of hands to grasp, handle or feel objects, tools and controls
- Kneeling, bending and crouching positions, as well as the lifting of parts and use of hand tools in such positions, may be required
- Could lift up to 25 lbs
- Able to work on a computer for extended periods of time
- Frequent sitting for long intervals
- Close vision (<2 feet) required
- A high degree of safety consciousness is required for all positions at SEH America
- Must be able to obtain passport and travel to required destinations

- THC usage is not allowed on-site or during work hours
- Reasonable suspicion drug testing does include testing for THC
