Job Summary
Develop new and continuously optimize existing aluminum sheet and plate products by conducting research and development projects from laboratory scale to production implementation and customer qualification. Define alloy composition and associated processing parameters while planning, organizing, and managing experiments in both laboratory and production environments. Coordinate and steer test programs in close collaboration with internal partners and customers, creating and evaluating literature and patent research. Analyze, document, and present results. This role supports the global leader in sustainable aluminum recycling at the Koblenz facility, serving key industries including aerospace and automotive.
Required Qualifications
- Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (Universität/TU), vorzugsweise mit Promotion, in den Bereichen Werkstoffkunde, Materialwissenschaften, Metallkunde oder Maschinenbau mit Schwerpunkt Werkstoffkunde bzw. Werkstofftechnik
- Fundierte Kenntnisse im Bereich Aluminiumknetlegierungen sowie der zugehörigen Herstellungs- und Verarbeitungsprozesse
- Erfahrung im Projektmanagement sowie in der Planung und Steuerung von Entwicklungsprojekten
- Analytische, strukturierte und ergebnisorientierte Arbeitsweise
- Ausgeprägte Team- und Kommunikationsfähigkeit verbunden mit einem hohen Maß an Engagement und Entscheidungsfreude
- Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
