Job Summary
Optimize productivity and quality of production processes in the Duncan plant through process parameter and equipment optimization, and implement new processes as part of industrialization. Drive efficiency by reducing cycle times, eliminate waste, establish process capability, assist with complex manufacturing issues, and create/update production documentation (Process Data Sheets, Work Instructions, P-FMEA, Re-Release Sheets) per IATF 16949. Collaborate with Process Development and Corporate Process Engineering to optimize existing processes and develop new ones; validate process and product characteristics with Product/Process Development and Quality; define reference samples with Product Development and Quality; support Equipment Planner in defining input for new equipment; review Engineering Change Requests and provide cost feedback; investigate new technologies to stay competitive in Automotive Manufacturing; lead plant-level improvement projects; some travel required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 1 to 2 years of knowledge with JIT Principles
- 1 to 2 years of Automated Manufacturing
- 1 to 2 years of Plastic Processing, Continuous Improvement and Analytical Troubleshooting experience
- Experience with 2D and 3D Modeling Software is desired
- Knowledge with Industrial Automation and Controls is a plus
