Job Summary
Provide technical support to Production and Maintenance groups to solve quality, safety, and productivity problems. Develop and execute plans for manufacturing cost reductions through 5M efficiency and new technology adaptation. Establish, document, and maintain PFMEA and Process Control Plans for product lines. Conduct investigations into product quality issues to support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Create specifications for equipment, jigs, and processes, and design revised processes to meet customer requirements. Coordinate project schedules for equipment modifications and installations, managing external suppliers and contractors. Make recommendations for capital investments to improve quality, safety, and productivity. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 2+ years in Manufacturing Engineering in and Engineering role
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Experience leading projects and CFT's
- Proven development of processes, product and equipment from concept to implementation
- Analytical & troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office products (including Excel, Word, Power Point, & Access)
- Other knowledge requirements include robotics programming, PLC programming, AutoCAD, & SolidWorks
- Occasional travel (domestic and international)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in successful development of multiple new product launches
- Work experience in manufacturing operations preferred (Automation, Automated vision inspection, Soldering, TIG Welding, or Laser Welding)
