Process Electrical Designer

Job Summary
The Process Electrical Designer will create equipment and electrical layouts, develop drawing packages, and collaborate with project teams and OEMs. Key responsibilities include utilizing 3D scanning technology, creating 2D AutoCAD layouts, and developing 3D models using Revit. The role involves assisting with P&ID drawings, developing panel schedules, and coordinating with teams during design and construction. Required skills include proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, knowledge of NEC standards, and effective collaboration and communication abilities. A minimum of an Associates degree in a related field and 1-5 years of relevant experience are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an Associates 2-year degree in drafting, 3D modeling, or related field
- Minimum of 1 – 5 years of experience in electrical design or a similar role
- Proficiency with process design software, AutoCAD 2D, Revit or other 3D software
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
- Familiarity with ISA 5.1
- Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Innovative thinking and the ability to develop creative solutions
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work in different environments
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant professional certifications (preferred)
- Experience with Eplan or Plant 3D (plus)
- Experience in sanitary design for the Food & Beverage industry (plus)
- Experience in Electrical & Controls design, Equipment design, and Equipment Layouts (preferred)
