Process Development Engineer

Job Summary
Develop and implement assembly processes for high-volume polymer products in automotive and industrial applications; work closely with external production and automation partners to design, develop and integrate state-of-the-art assembly cells, supervise build-up and integration at production partners, and support smooth ramp-up. Track and evaluate emerging process technologies, collect customer-driven process requirements, and write technical specifications. Apply agile project management, Design for Six Sigma, and risk management tools (FMEA) to deliver ZeroDefect outcomes. Conduct feasibility studies and initiate verification activities, supporting other Polymer R&D activities as needed. Requires a Mechanical Engineering degree (BSc/MSc) and 5+ years of related experience in Sweden, CAD skills (SolidWorks), and knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001. Strong communication in Swedish and English; self-motivated, hands-on, and team-oriented. Based in Anderstorp, at the global production hub, with opportunities to collaborate with the Polymer Center of Competence in Gothenburg.
Required Qualifications
- Higher degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc/MSc)
- 5+ years working experience in Sweden as Process Development Engineer with focus on automation/robotization connected to polymer/plastic parts, preferably in automotive or a high-volume OEM environment
- Basic CAD skills (preferably SolidWorks)
- Experience with quality standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and ability to independently execute those priorities
- Precise working style with a high commitment to quality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Swedish and English
- Self-motivated and a self-starter with hands-on skills and a team-oriented attitude
