Job Summary
Conduct test validations of analytical procedures and perform routine lab analysis to support research and development. Maintain chemical inventories, Material Safety Data Sheets, and create documentation including work instructions and Excel spreadsheets for research results. Assist in procuring materials, assessing equipment purchases, and inspecting laboratory equipment while ensuring safety compliance and OSHA training adherence. Manage PT processes and evaluate apparatus feasibility for additional in-house testing. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with a chemistry degree or equivalent experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate knowledge Excel
- Chemistry degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Ability to work autonomously
- Effective management of time and deadlines
- Advanced organizational skills (both physical and electronic organization)
- Adherence and support of the POLARIS Employee Handbook inclusive of the Standards of Conduct
- Learn and support the Quality Management System
- Learn and support POLARIS Lean Initiatives
- Maintain up to date HAZMAT, OSHA, RCRA, Methylene Chloride, and General Laboratory Safety training
Desired Qualifications
- Practical industrial or academic research laboratory experience
