Job Summary
Process Automation Engineer (5:00 pm–5:30 am shift) responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automation and control systems across beverage process production and packaging operations. Applies knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial process controls to ensure production reliability, efficiency, quality, and safety on high-speed bottling and packaging lines. Collaborates with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to optimize line performance, modifies PLC programs and HMI interfaces, supports commissioning/startup of new/rebuilt lines, maintains automation documentation, and drives continuous improvement in OEE, waste reduction, and process optimization. Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, FactoryTalk, Ignition, or Wonderware systems preferred; knowledge of packaging equipment and line integration; emphasis on safety and food safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of industrial automation or controls engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with HMI and SCADA systems
- Experience supporting batching, processing for high-speed bottling manufacturing or packaging equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams
