Job Summary
The Process Safety/EHS Engineer will oversee initiatives to enhance process control, safety, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include conducting laboratory testing, coordinating preventive maintenance, ensuring EHS compliance, and leading safety training. Essential functions involve process monitoring, waste reduction, regulatory compliance, and administering safety programs and training. Candidates must possess a relevant Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in a related field, along with skills in organization, communication, and knowledge of safety management protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, OSHA Safety Management, or related discipline
- 2+ years of experience in a related area
- Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and equipment
- Ability to handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of office and facilities coordination
- Basic leadership and management skills
- Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Business software SAGE Platinum for Windows proficiency
