Job Summary
Define performance standards, review outcomes, and set future targets for technicians and specialists. Assign duties, oversee training needs, and troubleshoot processes, equipment, machinery, and systems while documenting failures. Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities, perform equipment evaluations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Create and maintain department work instructions while adhering to safety, quality, and World Class Manufacturing principles. Model and apply SEL Values and the Understand. Create. Simplify. philosophy in daily decision-making. Travel 8-12 weeks during the first 4-6 months for training.
Required Qualifications
- two-year associate's degree in engineering technology or equivalent experience
- two years of leadership experience
- five years of manufacturing-related technical experience with an in-depth understanding of manufacturing equipment programming, maintenance, and repair
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- the ability to follow detailed technical instructions
- expertise in Excel, Word, Access, and maintenance software
- strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results are satisfactory to SEL
- You can obtain negative drug test result(s)
- Must be willing and able to travel during the first 4-6 months of employment for training, totaling approximately 8-12 weeks in two-week increments
