Job Summary
Direct patient care in office and Ambulatory Surgical Center settings; enters patient intake and provider orders into EMR, requests medical records, and monitors drug safety as directed by providers; records vital signs and medical history, assists with patient forms, and supports patient flow. Maintains HIPAA compliance, ensures accurate medical records documentation, and delivers courteous, professional service. Assists in pre-op and recovery, transports patients for discharge, and collaborates with nursing staff to verify patient information, monitor pregnancy tests and glucometer readings, and communicate results. Maintains infection control and safety standards, prepares equipment and sterile fields, assists with procedures by passing instruments, and ensures proper setup and post-procedure cleanup. Requires High School Diploma (or equivalent), current BLS, strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, flexible scheduling, and knowledge of EMR. Travel up to 80% is possible; compensation range is provided and benefits outlined.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work individually and in a team
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
