Job Summary
Procedure Care Tech I provides direct patient care in office and ASC settings, assists with pre-op and recovery, documents in EMR, verifies patient information, maintains infection control standards, supports patient flow, prepares forms and requisitions, and assists with equipment and supplies. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, teamwork, excellent customer service, maintaining accurate records, and supporting nursing/procedural staff across clinical office and ASC environments. Requires High School diploma or equivalent, BLS, proficiency with MS Office, strong communication, attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work with patients and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced setting. Travel up to 80% may be required; compensation ranges from $20-$23 per hour with benefits including PTO, holidays, 401(k), and disability/life insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must have knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public
- Must be able to work individually as well as within a team
- Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule
- Must be able to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize
- Must demonstrate extreme attention to detail
- Must possess strong organization skills
- Must be able to problem solve and use reasoning
- Must be able to meet predefined quality standards
- Must maintain and project a professional attitude and appearance at all time
- Must have a working knowledge of the healthcare field and medical terminology
- If working in an ASC, must provide proof of influenza vaccination annually
- Must complete two (2)-step PPD or an annual PPD
- Must complete all regulatory competencies in accordance with working in the ASC
- Within first ninety (90) days, complete C-arm competencies
- All staff expected to provide excellent customer service and comply with rules and regulations
- Preferred qualifications include Nurse Aide/Medical Assistant/EMS training, EMR experience, C-Arm experience, Surgical Tech or C-Arm Tech certifications
- Driving/Travel: travel up to 80% and relocation considerations may apply
- Compensation: Pay Range $20.00/Hr - $23.00/Hr
- PTO up to 44 hours in first year
