Job Summary
Procedure Care Tech I provides direct patient care in office and Ambulatory Surgical Center settings, handles patient intake and orders in EMR, records vital signs and medical history, assists with pre-op/recovery, manages patient flow, and supports nursing and physician teams. Requires HIPAA compliance, effective communication, proficiency with EMR and office software, BLS certification, ability to work a flexible schedule, and strong attention to detail. Travel up to 80% may be required; includes duties such as sterile field setup, assisting with procedures, IV starts after competency, documentation of radiation and lab records, and maintaining clinical areas. Two-step PPD or annual TB testing is required, and influenza vaccination may be required for ASC work. Preferred qualifications include Nurse Aide/MA/EMS training and experience with EMR and C-Arm operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, and the public
- Ability to work individually as well as within a team
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize

- C-arm competencies within 90 days of employment
- Desire to provide excellent customer service and comply with applicable policies
