Job Summary
Assist physicians with patient care by preparing individuals for exams or treatment, including taking histories, vitals, and performing phlebotomy. Document patient care accurately in the medical records system and organize, stock, and clean rooms while sterilizing instruments. Handle administrative duties such as answering phones and scheduling appointments. Maintain excellent communication to educate, treat, and inform patients, ensuring compliance with HIPAA requirements. Requires a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, two years of experience, and BLS certification. Full-time Monday through Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- 2 years of experience
- BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Certified or Registered MA
- OB/GYN experience
- Phlebotomy experience
- Phlebotomy certification
- Proficiency in keyboarding skills
- Experience with electronic medical records
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements
