Job Summary
Assist the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the direction of the Registered Nurse, recognizing risk factors and complications to provide optimal patient outcomes. Competently manage all equipment and supplies by preparing setups, cleaning and disinfecting after procedures, stocking rooms, and pulling items for upcoming cases while troubleshooting any issues. Perform basic aseptic technique, follow standard precautions and disease-specific guidelines per CDC, and adhere to policies regarding dress attire and universal protocol. Maintain good judgement regarding cost and quality. High school graduate or equivalent preferred with BLS within one year.
Required Qualifications
- BLS within 1 year
- Competent in all equipment/supplies used for each procedure
- Perform basic aseptic technique
- Follows standard precautions and utilizes disease specific guidelines as per CDC
- Adheres to policies and procedures as it relates to dress attire and universal protocol
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Previous patient care and some medical background preferred
