Job Summary
Entry-level Probation Officer Trainee-Juvenile (Intake) performing intake interviews, investigations, risk assessments, and supervision of offenders under close supervision for a one-year training period. Responsibilities include conducting intake and assessment interviews with offenders and families, providing recommendations for sentencing to the court, performing risk assessments to determine supervision levels, monitoring drug screens, counseling and case reporting, completing intake paperwork, preparing violation and compliance reports, updating client information in appropriate systems, and maintaining electronic monitoring equipment. Requires Bachelor’s degree in social services or criminal justice; travel may be required; in-office location in Omaha, NE; 24/7 availability with on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays.
