Job Summary
Probation Officer Assistant position supporting supervision, case planning and monitoring of high-risk offenders. Responsibilities include conducting interviews for investigative reports, performing home visits, curfew checks, drug testing and assisting offenders in retaining employment under supervision. Duties also cover preparing, updating, and submitting reports/databases (progress updates, court paperwork, home-visit/location logs). In-office role located at 1825 10th St Ste 10, Gering, NE; some travel may be required. Requires an associate degree or 63 credit hours (or 2 years of related education/experience) from an accredited institution. Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or 63 hours of course work from four-year college in a related field OR 2 years of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. All educational credits must be granted from an accredited institution approved by the U.S. Dept. of Education.
