Job Summary
Draft, review, and file legal documents for estate planning and probate proceedings while managing communication with clients, courts, and other parties. Prioritize issues linked to deadlines and conduct detailed research to support legal proceedings and consultations. Create and maintain comprehensive case files, assist in setting hearing dates, and prepare for court proceedings. Develop and refine office procedures and document templates to improve efficiency. This full-time role (40 hours per week) requires at least three days onsite, with hours aligned to 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST. Bonus compensation is discretionary, and professional development is available year-round.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field
- At least three years of experience in a paralegal role
- Proficient in time management
- Highly skilled in computer operations and project or case management systems
- Strong command of research tools and databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor
- Strong attention to detail
- Deep understanding of legal terminology
- Familiarity with the nuances of estate planning and probate law
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience interacting and communicating with high earning clientele
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines
- At least three days onsite
- Work hours aligned with the firm's standard operating hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST
