Job Summary
Pro Remodel Specialist at Builder’s FirstSource serves as the liaison between existing and new BFS Pro Remodel accounts, driving sales to meet margin goals and educating customers on BFS product suites and eCommerce capabilities. Responsibilities include maintaining and growing the customer base across Pro Remodel categories, managing account information in systems, following up on eCommerce leads, capturing project-specific customer data, offering full-scope services and product upgrades, educating customers and internal teams on new products and industry trends, regularly evaluating revenue and profitability, developing individualized account plans, scheduling regular touchpoints and reviews, and providing market intelligence to leadership. Must have strong sales, communication, and product-knowledge skills, ability to travel within the market, and the capacity to work in a team environment both in person and remote. Salary: $65,000 plus commission.
Required Qualifications
- GED or High School diploma
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years sales experience in repair & remodel/building materials distribution
- Demonstrated selling experience or operations experience
- Hands on experience in building supply, construction or distribution industry
- Knowledge of business management operations including purchasing, sales and personnel management
- Working knowledge of sales forecasting and analysis
- Strong Sales and marketing skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office and computer literate
- Ability to travel within the market to BFS locations and jobsite locations
- Ability to operate inside a team environment, both in person and remote
- Active listening capability with follow-up critical problem-solving skills
- Effective communication/presentation skills
- Knowledge of Building Supply products and services
