Job Summary
Pro-Fee Medical Coder responsible for assigning principal and secondary diagnoses, procedures and E&M codes (ICD-9-CM, ICD-10, CPT) with a focus on accuracy and productivity.Supports audits and quality control, communicates coding/documentation concerns, shares resources and ideas to improve processes, and maintains productivity and quality standards. Requires CPC or CPC-A credential, 3+ years of coding experience (inpatient/outpatient surgery favorable), and familiarity with 3M CAC; strong typing (40 WPM) and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel. Remote work option with US location.
Required Qualifications
- CPC or CPC-A Credential
- 3+ years of Coding experience preferred
- Experience with radiology, peds cardiology and nephrology
- Must type at least 40 WPM
- Experience with 3M CAC
- Medical Record Technology, Anatomy, Medical Billing or Coding courses are preferred
